NFL Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jarvis Landry teamed up with Feeding South Florida, the region’s largest domestic hunger-relief organization, to hand out much-needed household items – ranging from food to mattresses. He spent time and shared stories with impacted families, church clergy and volunteer staff.
A native of Convent, Louisiana, a small town just outside of New Orleans, Landry is no stranger to the influence this type of tragedy can have on a community.
“It’s amazing to see people come together and help like this,” Landry said. “But, these recent storms will affect some for years.”
The fourth-year player remains committed to helping provide relief, wherever possible.
“It’s important for all of us to continue to look for ways to support one another, even as time passes.”
Landry also received donations from Casper in the effort, which delivered and helped distribute a number of new mattresses to hurricane victims.
