***ORIGINAL STORY***
Justin Timberlake is one of the biggest singer, songwriter and performing artists we have seen this century. He is basically a legend. So it’s no surprise that Super Bowl LII in Minnesota is reportedly bringing in JT to perform at halftime.
Per US Weekly:
An insider reveals the 36-year-old “is finalizing” his deal, and though reports suggested the dad of 2-year-old son Silas (with wife Jessica Biel) might perform with onetime collaborator Jay-Z, the insider says, “as of right now, it will just be Justin — no surprise performers.”
However, according to ESPN, the NFL has said no decisions have been made final as to who the performer will be.
“We know that we will put on a spectacular show,” spokesman Brian McCarthy said. “When it is time to announce her name we will do it. Or his name. Or their names.”
It has been 13 years since JT donned the stage at the Super Bowl, and it ended in infamous fashion with a “wardrobe malfunction” with co-performer Janet Jackson. The incident forced the FCC to broadcast the Super Bowl on five-second tape delay.
All I can say is if Justin Timberlake is performing I’m already going to be excited. If he does a combo act with Jay-Z, I might pass out from excitement.
