It was announced in September that New Jersey Devils‘ Brian Boyle had chronic myelogenous leukemia.
According to ESPN, “Boyle started to feel fatigued in August, and tests at the start of training camp revealed that he had chronic myelogenous leukemia, a form of blood and bone marrow cancer. The diagnosis was announced Sept. 19.”
Boyle returned to practice Oct. 23. About a week ago, he targeted the game in Vancouver against the Canucks as his goal to get back in the lineup.
Well, yesterday (Nov. 9), Boyle scored his first goal since returning from cancer, and you can watch the amazing video of the goal above.
