A matchup between conference contenders takes place on TNT tonight as the 8-3 Houston Rockets take on the 5-6 Cleveland Cavaliers. The above promo video is pure gold and clashes James Harden‘s classic cooking celebration with LeBron James‘ recent Instagram post containing a certain cartoon character’s bunched up fist.
The Rockets suffered a set back with Chris Paul going down for at least a month, but that hasn’t stopped them. They are just a half game behind the Golden State Warriors for first place in the Western Conference.
The Cavs got out to a rough start and were losing to teams they probably shouldn’t be losing to, and after the aforementioned Instagram post, LeBron went off for 57 points in a win. He appears to be on a mission until the Cavs can rediscover the chemistry that led to three straight NBA Finals appearances.
Some suggested the motivation for the post was a former teammate of LeBron’s. Kyrie Irving seems to be doing just fine without the King as his Boston Celtics have ripped off 10 wins in a row after losing two to start the season. The Celtics are currently the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference that LeBron has won seven times in a row.
Expect some fireworks tonight.
