Jason Witten is an ageless wonder in the NFL. The 35-year-old tight end is still as good as he’s ever been and he seems to be proving it on a weekly basis. Take the above one-handed touchdown grab with a defender draped all over him as exhibit A.
The Dallas Cowboys offense seemingly got back on track after their bye week. They manhandled the San Francisco 49ers by a final score of 40-10, got back to .500 and appear ready to put their early season struggles behind them.
Ezekiel Elliott was a big part of the offensive explosion. The second-year back busted out for 147 yards on 26 carries with two touchdowns, plus took his only catch 72 yards for a touchdown. The Cowboys don’t know how much longer they’ll have their star running back. It seems clear they plan to use him as much as they can.
Witten is a major part of that run game as a blocker and is maybe the most complete tight end to ever play in the NFL. I’d take him on my team any day of the week and twice on Sunday.
