The New York Yankees were shut down by Dallas Keuchel and Justin Verlander in the first two games of the ALCS. They came back to New York with an 0-2 deficit and needing their offense to show signs of life if they were going to get back in the series. They did exactly that and it all started with this incredible Todd Frazier home run.
It takes true power to be able to reach out and stab a home run to the opposite field like that. Of course, it helps that Yankee Stadium has a low, short porch in right field, but we’re going to ignore that. You really can’t fault Charlie Morton here. He made a great pitch, Frazier just made a better swing.
The 8-1 Game 3 victory has New York beaming and ready to bring the thunder in Game 4. It doesn’t seem like it’s going to take very many runs to win games unless the Houston Astros‘ bats wake up. Game 4 is a must-win for the Yankees.
