Giannis Antetokounmpo has long been considered to have the potential to be the next big thing in the NBA. In the 2016-17 season, you started to see some of that when he became the first player to finish in the top 20 in points, rebounds, assists, steals and blocks, or all five major statistics in the NBA.
You’re seeing even more of that now to start the 2017-18 season. He’s leading the NBA at 31 points per game to go along with 9.9 rebounds, 5.0 assists, 1.7 steals and 1.4 blocks per game. He’s an all-around monster like few players we’ve ever seen before.
This is why Nike decided to lock him up with a long-term contract, which the Greek Freak announced via his Twitter account in the video above.
