Florida Gators fans paid tribute to Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Tom Petty, who passed away on Oct. 2, by belting a classic Petty song, “I Won’t Back Down,” during the game against the LSU Tigers this past weekend.
Not only was Petty a Gainesville, Florida native, but he, according to floridagators.com, “once worked as a groundskeeper at the University of Florida.”

While the Gators ended up losing to the Tigers by the score of 17-16, this was, by far, one of the best moments of the game.
