The Los Angeles Dodgers haven’t lost a game in the MLB postseason yet, which can mostly be attributed to dominant performances by their pitchers. They have made the timely hits in every game, however, and Chris Taylor gave the Dodgers the lead over the Chicago Cubs for good with this towering shot to centerfield.
The leadoff man wasn’t done. While the home run gave them a 2-1 lead, he extended that lead by one his next time up with a triple down the left field line (which you can also see in the above video).
Los Angeles really struggled down the stretch after having one of the greatest midseason streaks of all time. They lost 11 in a row at one point in September after being the hottest team in baseball for what seemed like forever. Once they got over that hump, they finished the season strong, winning eight of their last 10 and have now gone 6-0 in the postseason. Los Doyers are now one win away from the World Series.
You really can’t count out the Cubs after what they accomplished in the World Series last year, but their bats have been asleep at the wheel this entire series. Unless by some miracle they wake up, the Dodgers will close this out in four.
