Sometimes there are stories in sports that simply take your breath away. Defying the odds will always be an admired trait, and Rob Jones defines that phrase to a ‘t’. The marine lost both of his legs fighting for the United States in Afghanistan. That didn’t stop him from doing something even someone with two legs would have trouble accomplishing.
If you haven’t watched the video above already, Jones ran an incredible 31 marathons for 31 straight days, all the while using prosthetic legs. Poetically and patriotically, he finished the final marathon in Washington D.C. on Veteran’s Day. The feat spanned a whopping 812.2 miles. Do yourself a favor and just watch the video.
