Fresh off signing a five year, nearly $150 million contract extension before the season started, Andrew Wiggins is already proving why the Minnesota Timberwolves locked up the 22-year old budding star.
The sequence at the end of their game with the Oklahoma City Thunder was crazy. The Wolves were taking on what many believe to be the second best team in the Western Conference in their building and went toe-to-toe with them. It led to this fantastic ending:

Carmelo Anthony drained what he thought would be the game-winning three pointer. The Wolves got the ball to Wiggins and the rest, as they say, is history.
The Wolves are a quiet sleeper team in the West. They made a massive draft day trade for Jimmy Butler and signed Taj Gibson, Jeff Teague, Jamal Crawford and Aaron Brooks to round out a very deep roster, combining those with established young guys in Wiggins and Karl-Anthony Towns, among others.
Moments like this will build their confidence in the young season and help them get off to a good start. They lost to the San Antonio Spurs, then beat the Utah Jazz and Thunder, all three playoff teams from a year ago.
