Justin Turner was a one-man show for the Los Angeles Dodgers in Game 2 of the NLCS. He gave the Dodgers their first run of the night with a single in the bottom of the fifth that tied the game at 1-1.
Then, with two outs in the bottom of the ninth, on the anniversary of Kirk Gibson‘s magical walk off home run in the World Series, Turner delivered a moon shot off John Lackey that gave the Dodgers a commanding 2-0 series lead in the NLCS.
The MLB playoffs have come with a boat load of drama. From three-homer games, to teams coming back from a 0-2 series deficit, to both Game 2s of the championship series ending in walk off fashion for the home team, there isn’t much more you can ask for.
The NLCS now heads to Chicago with the Chicago Cubs looking to get their bats going and turn things around.
